The World Turns Red

The World Turns Red is a short novella with a big punch.

Within the first paragraphs, we see several people commit suicide through Lewis’ eyes in different horrific ways. We then learn that, as a child, he had found his father’s body after he had shot himself which informed his whole life.

Tim Waggoner’s description of the meat room is visceral and, as Lewis (and we) recognize it and the Unhigh for what they are - gut wrenching.
