Did you know Hugh Grant could be creepier than his Bridget Jones's Diary character?

The basics: Two young female Mormon missionaries, Barnes and Paxton, call on Mr. Reed who has at some point shown interested in hearing more about the Church. He locks them in and the cat and mouse games begin.

It appeared that the more worldly "from Philadelphia originally" Barnes started catching on pretty early that something was up, and it does stretch credulity to think they would not have left immediately.

But then there wouldn't be a movie, and, as unlikely a scenario as it is, it was fun to watch Hugh Grant be so unsettlingly charming, and there were a few moments of legitimate suspense. I may like this movie more than some because I would listen to Hugh Grant read a phone book ever since his rom-com days of gems like Four Weddings and a Funeral.
