Women in Horror Month Day 12: Soulmate, writer/director Carolyn Axelle

I am not sure how it took me so long to see this. It’s a lovely throwback to earlier haunted house films. It’s not afraid to take its time and let you get to know it before bringing on the fear. It’s no surprise that Axelle’s husband Neil Marshall produces it (he brought us the great women-powered horror “The Descent”-very different from this but also worth a watch.)
