I had to watch this one twice to decide if I liked it because I found myself getting distracted by things like the flashing light sequence with the title, the fight with the boyfriend at the beginning, and the way Mia let everyone push her around (not to mention being confused about why she stayed with them in the first place).

But why let a little thing like not understanding why anyone is doing anything or what is going on to keep me from liking a film?

In the end, the atmosphere, the witchiness, and the dread I felt at the moment when she was telling the Crying Woman story and a few of the kids in the room realized they didn’t know their mom - worth it.
