Snarky Crochet

The title told me Snarky Crochet by Lisa Ha was a book for me, and the introduction confirmed it. Her irreverent, punny patterns, she says, are to make gifts for people you don’t like - but you don’t want them to know you don’t like them.

The first pattern out of the gate is of a lovely simple scarf, and she suggests a “spite stripe”, one row in the center to be made of the “itchy, gnarliest yarn that you can find.”

The patterns were all as fun and snarky as the first, the instructions were detailed and filled with the same humor as the intro.

She lists everything you need and describes any special stitches in an easy to understand way for beginners, with plenty of photos but also includes QR codes that link to video tutorials.

Snarky Crochet is perfect for any “hooker” with a sense of humor, no matter skill level.

And, if you get one of these finished products as a gift from me, it means I like you!
