The Map of Lost Places

I was really excited for this anthology and its theme of lost, liminal spaces. I also appreciated the mix of well-known and unknown authors.

As standalone, a couple of these stories could be 5-Star - with the very first story being a standout for me - but the quality was uneven throughout, with some of the stories not keeping my attention or trying to be too clever that they became unintelligible.

Overall, it’s worth a read, and the great thing about anthologies is almost anyone is sure to find a story or two that really speaks to them. Even not-great stories about haunted, lost spaces can be unsettling - and that’s what I came for.
