The Only Ones

Is there room for more than one film with friends going to the woods and includes a conceit around true crime podcasts? I say yes! 
The Only Ones starts with a fake-out which touches on many of the slasher tropes that fans of the genre love, and once it was revealed as a story within the film, they waste no time rolling on the trope train, begging the gas station attendant to warn them against going into the hills. For horror fans that love identifying the influences and tropes of a slasher (but with modern touches of LGBTQ+ representation and meta humor), this will be a fun watch.
