Until Dawn (2025)

MOVIE 4 - 2025 Edition of 100 Horror Movies in 92 Days

Movies based off video games can be hit or miss; for every Silent Hill, there are a dozen Houses of the Dead.

The previews for Until Dawn gave me high hopes that it would be a fun ride, and it was. The casting was solid, it was well produced, there were plenty of atmospheric shots, and the time loop was used to good effect to add a sense of urgency, danger, and frustration - though it can start to feel a little repetitive as we approach the 13th loop.

Overall, Until Dawn ranks above average for video game adaptations for me and an okay horror film in its own right.

Words I Liked: "Each year is the same, but different." - I feel that, Peter Stormare.
