The Invitation

Women in Horror Month Day 4 - The Invitation (Netflix) - directed by Karyn Kusama

The awkwardness of every guest, even (or especially) among old friends in this film had me literally holding my breath through minutes of conversation. It was almost a relief when the action began as the true purpose of the dinner party came to light. Quite different from Kusama's feminist cult film "Jennifer's Body", both are worth a watch anytime, but especially in honor of Women in Horror Month.
